I know for certain some traditional swing folk won't like some of what I'd like to see swing expand into... but there are styles of music that Lindy quite simply works very, very well with. Drumnbass is one of those styles; it's the right speed for Lindy, it's got a broken beat, swing feel to it, and has musicality potential to delight even the most stale of dancers.
It's become common for a thursday night now, to see me and a certain cute redhead out dancing to blues at Blues Union, then tearing up a few tiles at Elements @ Phoenix Landing. Any and all swing dancers should most definitely consider joining us for those marathon dance nights.
But for now, grab your headphones, dim the lights, and dance with me to this... try to tell me you cannot feel the swingouts, the turns, the bounces... and the intense smile plastered across your face.

Aside from the longish intro, the rest of that is totally loose Lindyable. Or Balboa, maybe. But not purist versions of either.
